T1 (1.5 Mbps):
Every full T1 is a dedicated, business class circuit, which means that no one shares your connection and your uptime is guaranteed. The circuit is delivered over copper connections that provide constant data throughput - both for uploading and downloading - which makes T1s great for all aspects of business.
A T1 is more dependable and consistent than a DSL connection.
Bonded T1 (up to 9 Mbps):
Bonded T1s are slightly outdated and we would recommend a 10 Mbps Metro-E. However, HBS can still connect your office with a Bonded T1, which is two or more T1s that have been joined to increase bandwidth. This solution is beneficial because two single T1s can use as much as 1.5 Mbps at a time, whereas two Bonded T1s can use up to 3 Mbps. They increase in increments of 1.5 Mbps up to 9 Mbps!
If your business needs more bandwidth than a single T1 for today’s video, voice, data, and audio applications without the cost of a DS3, Bonded T1s are a solid Internet solution.
DS3 (45 Mbps):
While we would recommend a Metro 50, HBS can still provide your business with a DS3. A DS3 allows businesses to scale their bandwidth according to specific needs, all with faster uploading and downloading speeds than a Bonded T1.
While a DS3 can always access the full 45 Mbps, most companies expanding beyond the limits of their Bonded T1 service opt to make the jump to a fractional DS3, using 6 or 9 Mbps. A DS3 can be scaled according to your company’s needs, all in a matter of days! Also, if your business needs more than 9 Mbps, a DS3 provides a more cost effective solution than traditional Bonded T1s.
A DS3 is great for large corporations, universities, or hospitals with highvolume network traffic.
*If your network is not capable of connecting to an Ethernet connection, HBS can design a unique solution for your legacy system.
